In 2014, when Anne Hidalgo was elected mayor of Paris, she made it clear that one of the main goals of her management would be to leave the city as green as possible. Since then, several ecological initiatives have been introduced, but the biggest of all is the project that aims to transform the area where the Eiffel Tower is located in one of the largest parks in Paris.
The project – named by OnE, is from the British architecture office Gustafson Porter + Bowman and inted to create a huge green space around one of the world’s best-known monuments.
The first stage of the project is expected to be completed in 2023 – in time for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
If, today the Eiffel Tower is already one of the most incredible places you will visit in life, after they complete this project, it will be difficult to overcome this wonder!
