London-based food delivery platform Deliveroo is opening a “helicopter restaurant” called ‘Roocopter One’, where guests can dine 1,000 feet above the ground for free onboard a helicopter.
Deliveroo touts the 20-minute experience as “the highest restaurant in Europe,” as guests will be transported from Battersea Heliport to above Battersea Power Station, The Shard, and The O2, allowing them to take in London’s cityscape as they dig into their meals.
Opening only on 9 August, diners in London will be served breakfast, brunch, lunch, high tea or dinner from partners Chipotle, Wagamama, BabaBoom and Joe Public.
The ‘Roocopter One’ restaurant is a collaboration between Deliveroo, helicopter company Charter-A and creative communications company Talker Tailor, and is poised to hover Sydney, Hong Kong and Edinburgh in the coming two years.
Free tickets to the event are available here on a first-come-first-serve basis.
